Set against the scenery of 1977 Los Angeles, The Nice Guys opens when single parent and authorized PI Holland March (Gosling) is enlisted to explore the obvious suicide of renowned porn star Misty Mountains. As the trail drives him to find a young lady named Amelia (Qualley), he experiences less authorized and less uninvolved private investigator Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe) and his knuckle reinforcements, both contracted by the youthful hipster. Notwithstanding, the circumstance gets ugly when Amelia vanishes and it gets to be obvious that March wasn't the main party intrigued. As both men are compelled to collaborate, they'll need to tackle a world loaded with unusual goons, strippers dressed as mermaids and even a conceivable government connivance.
| nudity | The film is about two detectives investigating the murder of an adult movie star. At the beginning of the movie, a boy is looking at a girlie magazine. The centerfold is seen naked; her leg covers the pubic area but her bare chest is clearly seen. As he looks at the magazine, a car, with the woman in the magazine in the car, crashes through the house. She is seen bloody from the crash in much the same pose with her leg covering her pubic area and her chest covered only in some blood. At a party a women is shown dancing in a thong briefly, and another women is briefly shown topless swimming in the water dressed as a mermaid. No porn is shown but at times it is mildly discussed. Some crude conversations and jokes but it's never too bad. About as bad or a tad bit worse than the lethal weapon movies but nothing most teens shouldn't be able to handle. Probably best for 13+ but not any younger. |
