When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged.
About five minutes into the movie, the main character is seen in a nightie. A man is seen sitting next to her on the bed, presumably after having had sex. She changes into a shirt, which shows a little cleavage.
A man is attacked by an entity. As he runs away, his leg is clawed (the bloody wound is shown). He is later dragged into the dark and his dead body is shown mangled (seen from a distance).
A woman is almost choked to death by an entity, but she is saved.
A woman is thrown by the entity and hits her head hard on a nightstand, knocking her unconscious.
In the final 25 minutes, the entity constantly appears trying to kill the main characters.
Two police officers are dragged away and killed (off-screen).
A character commits suicide.
A couple of "s" words. No "F" bombs.
A bong is briefly seen in a woman's apartment.
Jump scares throughout.
The final 25 minutes contain numerous jump-scares as the entity suddenly appears behind and/or around characters, trying to kill them.
