To test its top-secret Human Hibernation Project, the Pentagon picks the most average Americans it can find - an Army private and a prostitute - and sends them to the year 2505 after a series of freak events. But when they arrive, they find a civilization so dumbed-down that they're the smartest people around.

Movie Parental Guide

nudity 4/10 There is plenty of vulgar content, including many references to sexuality. This should probably go in 'profanity' There's a long scene wherein an audience is watching a movie comprised solely of a shot of a a man's behind (naked buttocks). "Fart" sounds are heard. Several references to masturbation, fornication and prostitution. Never actually seen - just talk. The "average person" in the future constantly has sex on his/her mind. There are "adult" tax returns.
violence 3/10 A person is sentenced to "Rehabilitation" in a public execution arena, and attempts to rehabilitate the convict are shown -- including trying to rehabilitate him with a flame thrower. The results of rehabilitation tend to be lethal. One recurring male character is constantly kicked or otherwise impacted by a hard object in the groin. This is supposed to be funny - to the morons in the future. A man is repeatedly sprayed in the face with some irritating substance (like pepper spray). In prison, an immensely overweight shirtless man sits on the face/neck of an other man, who can't breathe as a result. It's implied that the protagonist will be in his place once he gets in there.
profanity 5/10 - 'Fuck' and its derivatives are used around 30 times. - Several anatomical references. Many characters have a very crude sense of humour. - Around 60 sexual references (verbal); dozens visual, including a giant dildo atop an assault vehicle. Dildo eventually dis-adheres from vehicle & goes sailing into the audience (in Rehabilitation scene). - Occasional religious profanity (always to Christianity). - Several businesses have vulgar words in the titles. - The words "fag/s" and "retard" (or versions of the words) are used as insults, a lot.
alcohol 4/10 Alcohol use, especially by the President. One of the underage cabinet members drinks whiskey. People are seen smoking. Everybody consumes a sports drink as frequently as water is consumed in reality. Doctor smokes a joint.
frightening 3/10 Overwhelming towers of garbage are depicted. What appears to be a natural valley w/many hills here & there turns out to be a valley comprised solely of refuse. Freeway overpasses end abruptly, going nowhere. At least one vehicle is seen driving off an overpass & falling to the ground. Domiciles are equipped with large overstuffed chairs with built-in toilets; overlarge TV screens overwhelm living-rooms. Program choices are not uplifting. There is a Violence Channel. Barren farm fields are depicted. Vast unemployment occurs; people are protesting the situation. An unfortunate, starving Mother is depicted loosing much money to a food vending machine; after the machine ignores her request for a refund, a loud siren sounds as we hear an alarming announcement that the police have been notified to come arrest her. No children are seen. The White House is depicted in a derelict state, with satellite dishes mounted atop it. The country is primarily run like a police-state. To participate in society, a person has their own UPC code on their left wrist. There is little privacy. Overall: 16+ for profanity (especially sexual profanity), plus it takes a certain maturity to understand what the movie, as a parable, has to say about contemporary society.
