15-year-old Alan Abernathy, the son of a toy store owner, tries out some new action figures: The Commando Elite vs. The Gorgonites. But three months ago, a toy company believes it is onto something when it employs the latest government military technology in a series of action figures, enabling them to talk. They underestimate the power of the special micro chips they've employed, however, as the two opposing sides of the toy line start thinking for themselves and engaging in real combat! The Commando Elite vow to wipe out the Gorgonites in a suburban neighborhood. Alan, his neighbor Christy Fimple, (on whom he has a massive crush) with the help of the kind Gorgonites, must protect his home and family from the Commandos.

Movie Parental Guide

nudity 3/10 Wild flirtation. A passionate kiss. Comments are made about them being "fully pose-able," and we later see the dolls dressed in skimpy, high cut, one piece outfits. Male dolls make verbal advances toward female dolls.
violence 4/10 Living toys are chewed up in a disposal and otherwise tortured. They use power tools and explosives to attack humans. Dolls attack humans and other dolls in hordes. Humans are hit by darts and nails shot by the dolls, a man is stabbed in the leg with a toy knife and a doll sets a man's pants on fire by shooting a torch. Some toys are destroyed by slamming them onto a wall. Lots of property damage is caused by the dolls shooting various weapons (trees and telephone poles are knocked down and catch fire). A toy car full of dolls explodes destroying them, a doll is electrocuted and dolls are destroyed by a lawn mower. A doll is shown in pieces after an attack. A man punches another man in the face. A boy hangs from a power pole. Some of the dolls look freakish, mean and scary.
profanity 3/10 About 5 anatomical references, 4 scatological terms, about 10 mild obscenities and several insults.
alcohol 2/10 Alan's mother asks him if he's on crack after he claims that the toys are alive and tries to get a toy to talk (the boy says that he's not on drugs).
frightening 2/10 Younger kids may not like the somewhat creepy scenes showing a horde of female dolls attacking the humans like giant insects (jumping on their backs, running all over them, etc...). The toys shoot a man with a nail gun. The toys attack and tie up a man. They tie him to his truck were he passes out.
