nudity A teen boy looks at a photograph of topless African tribal women in a National Geographic type magazine magazine ( very brief ) 1/10
violence A man tied into a chair is slowly engulfed in flames when a fire is lit under his chair. A teen appears outside a high-rise apartment building hovering with a jetpack that has two Gatling guns attached; he opens fire while moving horizontally, breaking many windows and mowing down many men. Several men chase another man, they catch him and they punch and kick him several times (his head and face is a little bloody); a teen boy joins the fight, kicking and punching and the attackers start punching and kicking him; one man draws a knife and threatens the teen but they are interrupted by the sound of sirens. Many men are seen dead inside a flaming building. One has a slit throat with blood on it, others have bloody gunshot or knife wounds. We briefly see the full body X-ray of a teen boy that shows many metal rod implants and screws used to repair numerous broken bones. Whilst is is violent and bloody it has a comedic effect by the violence being unreal. The ending scene ,where the two main heroes are fighting with the villains is very graphic ,especially when Hit-Girl slices some armed men with her sword. Kick-Ass is fighting with Red Mist at a karate training room with fighting sticks ,there's a lot of blood in the scene ,very graphic. We see how Kick-Ass uses a bazooka to kill Frank ,very violent but not graphic. 8/10.
profanity 20+ uses of the F-ck, 35 uses of shit, 4 uses of pussy, 3 uses of tits, 2 uses of balls, 2 uses of dick, 4/10
alcohol Cocaine use by one character. A teenage boy is shown smoking cannabis whilst driving a car [DUI]. 2/10
frightening Sensitive people may not like the violence despite most of it being comical. The scene where Kick-Ass and Big daddy are tortured and brutally beaten on live television followed by one of them being burnt alive and dying is very intense and emotional. The fights can be extremely intense to some. Nothing overly scary or disturbing. 6/10 MPAA/USA - Rated R for strong brutal violence throughout, pervasive language, sexual content, nudity and some drug use - some involving children. BBFC/UK - Rated 15 (very strong language, strong bloody violence).
