The scene in Knockturn Alley has a unexpected moment: it is very quiet when Harry is examining an item in the shop (the Hand of Glory) and suddenly it grabs Harry's hand with a loud sound effect. This part may make you jump.
Scene in the Dark Forest is particularly frightening, especially if you hate spiders.
Entire confrontation with The Basilisk (Large Snake) is quite frightening.
The movie sometimes riffs on horror, with threatening sound effects and music, odd camera shots, frightening creatures and startling action, as well as dark and cold cinematography.
